- You begin the tour with a first stop at Emerald Pool - a breathtaking waterfall cascading into a pool - situated in the lush rainforest of the Morne Trois Pitons Natioal Park. Maybe take a quick dip!
- Relax on a drive to reach the Carib Teritory, home of the last 3000 mixed descendants of the indigenous Caribs.
- Lunch break in a local restaurant with a view
- Enjoy a guided tour of the Kalinago Barana Aute Village, hear the stories of their unique experience, history and traditions. Walk through the village and see a series of small huts and observe their traditional activities and hand crafted products on sale.
CARIB TERRITORY (1) - OPTION 2 - TOUNA AUTE VILLAGE
FOLLOWING LUNCH BREAK AT A LOCAL RESTAURANT
- Guided visit of the Touna Aute Village located in Concorde, next to the Pagua River. This is a living village of the Carib Indian community which offers a unique experience to attend and learn of the Kalinagos who work and live here.
- You walk among the houses and observe the creative work of the artisans, and activities that include traditional making of sugar cane juice, basket weaving and other items. sold under the tent near the Pagua RIver
- Visit a traditional kitchen where wood is still used in cooking, and meet a herb specialist
- Interact with the Kalinagos, and taste their special local treats.
- On way back make a couple stops for refreshing baths in the Sisserou Bassins, and later in the Jacko Falls in the middle of the rainforest.
