6:45 AM:  Meet the tour guide in front of Qik Serv on Main and Quamina Streets. 6:55 AM:  Depart Georgetown (late arrivals will be left behind). Note: Pick up can be done along the route on the main road

This Mazaruni River tour is a full-day adventure departing from Georgetown. The journey begins with a crossing of the Demerara River to Parika, where you'll board a speedboat at Big Kiss Wharf for an approximate 1 hour and 20 minutes scenic ride to the historic Fort Kyk-Over-Al. After exploring the fort, you'll embark on a 30-minute hike to Marshall Falls, where you can enjoy a refreshing 45-minute swim. Following this invigorating experience, a pre-ordered lunch with non-alcoholic beverages awaits you in Bartica. The tour then includes a relaxing visit to Bartica Beach before you depart from Bartica at 3:30 PM for your return to Georgetown.

What to expect:

  • Bumpy boat ride on the river (not recommended for persons with bad backs, knees, hips or who are pregnant).
  • Sun or rain exposure, humidity.
  • 30 mins hiking in rainforest (5 mins decline / incline)

  • Crossing a log to get to the waterfall.
